Juliet was awfully young at the time of her death. It was at the age of 14 when she fell in love with Romeo.
In Romeo's eyes, she meant everything to him.
Romeo: ... The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars, as daylight doth a lamp; her eyes  in heaven would through The airy region stream so bright that birds would sing and think it were not night. See, how she leans her cheek upon her hand! O, that I were a glove upon that hand, that I might touch that cheek!
The daughter of Old Capulet, who was the greatest enemy of the Montagues. It happens to be that Romeo, Juliet's lover, was the only son of the house of Montagues.

What's Romeo and Juliet without Romeo himself?!From the first two scenes, we learned that Romeo fell in love with a girl named Rosaline. You may perceive his "green boy" nature. But as you move along with the story and the plot, you'll discover that he was actually soft hearted and sensitive. He committed suicide after learning that Juliet "died".
Romeo dedicated himself to the woman he loved so dearly. (unlike the men we have today in our society)

The house of Capulet:

Old Capulet is the head of a household feuding with the Montagues.
He reconciled with the Montagues
after seeing the tragedies they
created for their offspring's. It was
a bit too late.




Lady Capulet is the wife of Capulet.
She was a young and beautiful woman
at the time of her marriage. Just like
her daughter Juliet.
For many times, she tried hard to
persuade Juliet to marry Paris, a young
and rich nobleman.

 

 
The Nurse was funny and cheerful. She helped Romeo delivering messages to her mistress Juliet on several occasions.



 

Tybalt was the nephew of Lady Capulet, cousin to Juliet.
He killed Romeo's good friend Mercutio, afterwards, Romeo draws on Tybalt and kills him. Because of this, Romeo was exiled from Verona. This was the beginning of the tragedy.

The household of Montagues:
Montague is the head of a household feuding with the Capulets
He's the father of Romeo

Lady Montague was the wife of Montague.

She died after learning her only son's death. It was depressing.


Mercutio is  a relative of the Prince, friend of Romeo.
He was killed by Juliet's cousin Tybalt. Whom later was deceased by Romeo.
Benvolio was the nephew of Montague, friend and cousin of Romeo.
He knew about Romeo's love. He was the only one whom Romeo tells secrets to.



Other Characters

 

Friar Laurence was an understanding priest who performed Romeo and Juliet's marriage.


 

 

Escalus  was the Prince of Verona who tried everything to keep the peace among his subjects.
Tried to threaten the household of Montagues and Capulet by stating he who  ever starts an affray or altercations should be executed.
